| Ditch Lilly - found starving in a ditch. She is loving and sweet and yes a pit bull. Best friends with Cooper and they play all the time. Loves the children at the barn. Really loving dog. |
|
| Cooper - the other corgi - the one who hasn't been clipped, who doesnt pee on everything and still has his figure! He's young and frisky and lots of fun. And yes very cute! Also a swimmer - now known as Cooper Wilson Phelps for his swimming abilities in the BRM pool. |
|
| Lady,
Aldo's sister, is one of our shyer dogs. She wants to play with
the barn hooligans but is not quite sure yet. |
|
| Heart,
Liz's new Aussie puppy has joined the barn. Already showing at
dog shows and romping through the barn. |
|
| Yellow
dog: King of the barn. Very serious. Do not brush. Do not bother
unless he knows you. Chooses his friends carefully. Will growl
when you have over stepped his bounds. |
|
| Red
Dog. One of the great barn dogs of all time. When there's lightening
in the fields - there's Red Dog standing up tall. Pouring rain
- he's sitting in it. Trying to do your dressage test - there
he is asleep like he's dead in the dressage ring. Not smart. But
very loyal. Also known as "dead dog" because sometimes
it hard to tell. |
 |
| Kit
- the miniature version of Emily Sue. Was the baby of the barn
until Sonja arrived. She still wants to be the baby! Kit went
to live in NY! |
|
| Emily
Sue is the Princess of the barn. She is a long hair Pembroke
Welsh Corgi. She is known for her ability to stand up on her
hind legs for 5 minutes at a time while you eat! |
|
| Wesley
Weinig Owen, better known as "The Urinator", is a
Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He can take on any barn dog regardless
of size, pees on everything, and is known for his ample figure.
|
|
| Joey
Weinig Owen is part Border Collie and part Bernese Mountain
Dog. His favorite item is horse manure because you can both
roll in it and eat it at the same time! He is also a french
kisser so no talking when he kisses you! |
|
| 'Starvin
Marvin' Malone was found on the side of the road as a puppy.
He was soon adopted by Robin, Lauren and Smokey Malone and filled
out quite nicely!! |
|
| Dogs
who have gone to dog heaven |
Rio
Carter, Australian Shepherd, best known for herding everything
in sight and attacking if you get to close to her truck. She
also has a bark that could pierce steel! |
|
| Sadly we lost Smokey Malone this
year- 2006. Smokey had been coming to the barn with Robin and
Lauren for more than 10 years. She was an official dog in residence.
Never barked and carried on. Always in control. We will miss you,
Smokey! |
|
| We
lost Corey this year - 2006. She was a New Guinea Singing Dog.
Corey was the sweetest dog but a wild dog so only came out on
her leash. Had her own swimming pool and kennel to hang out in
and at sunset you could hear her sing. |
|
| Bear
Dog was the Mr. Potato Head of Dogs. He sits upright like a
person in the car. And takes a swim at least once a day during
the summer. He's also very affectionate when he is the most
pungent. |
|
| Roxy
Scott -- the terror of Camino -- faster than a speeding bullett,
more energy than a nuclear power plant -- its Roxy the curly headed
Jack Russell. She is the fastest dog at the barn and is also the
only one to have crossed the official finish line at the Intermediate
level during a USEA Horse Trial!! (Photo of Barb holding Roxy
-- the only way to take her photo!) |
|
Tippy
is the Queen of the barn. She moved into the covered ring one
day and decided she owned it. Now she owns the whole place and
keeps the peace if any of the young ones get out of hand. Yellow's
wife. |
|
| Ninya
Pinhead is one of the grand ole dames of the barn. She's most
often trailing around lost. Very sweet but not all there. |
